| I think this song is speaking to the subtle racism that is gentrification and happening at a rapid pace in the North/Northeast neighborhoods of portland. I also think it is an aknowledgement of the so-called "creative culture" that is taking over these neighborhoods. How does a young musician remain hip, pay rent and attemp social conciousness? Oh I know- write a song about gentrification. | |
