I think this song is adorable. It kind of reminds me of my best friend. He's not hompphobic, but I think he might be a little weired out if I sanf this to him XD
It just seems to me like he's saying "The only way I could love you more were if I were romantically attractd to you", and I think that's realy sweet and not creepy at all, if you look at it open-mindedly |

I feel this way about a girl right now. It's sad, not being able to have someone you want, ya know, and yet it's just such a pleasure being around her. I love this song, and it's exactly how I feel |

Songs such as this one are good to listen to when you're feeling sorry for yourself. Like, I'll be sitting here, thinking about how much my life "sucks", then I play this song and want to kick myself in the teeth for my bitching. Great song |

"The child in that song obviously has a learning difficulty. And it's only in the last few years that they've actually been able to diagnose these learning disabilities that before were looked at as misbehaviour, as just outright fucking rebelliousness. But no one knew what it was. And these kids, because they seemed unable or reluctant to learn, they'd end up getting the shit beaten outta them. The song ends, you know, with this idea of the shades going down–so that the neighbours can't see what happens next. What hurts about shit like that is that it ends up defining peoples' lives. They have to live with that abuse for the rest of their lives. Good, creative people are just fucking destroyed"-Eddie Vedder |

You know what song this reminds me of? Roxanne, by The Police. Sure, this one's much more sexual and less sentimental, but look at the main idea: He has feelings for a prostitute and is trying to steer her away...only thing is, he seems to have his eyes on the prize, where Sting was much more loving and sincere |
