Its not about drugs. The narrator dies with the one he loves, maybe of heartbreak because she died, but when he gets to heaven with her, he doesn't feel like he belongs there yet. he tells her "nothing against you, surely ill miss you." and "take me back inside (heaven/your arms) when the time is right. Hes telling his girl that he'll miss her and that he loves her, but he has to leave her because it isn't his time to go yet.
