I think this song is about Paolo's father and how much he admires him, and hopes to have the same qualities he has when he becomes older. "Argh, he gets up each day at five Starts the car and makes the drive Shutters up, starts the fryers Serves out food to all the buyers in the town" - Definitely about his dad and his fish and chip shop back in Scotland.
