As Cities Burn – Timothy Lyrics 16 years ago
this song is extremely haunting and powerful. The lyrics explain my thoughts on heaven and hell, and how troubling it is to think of someone dying and being in hell. I don't believe in God, but this song is one of my all-time favorites.

the six-minute instrumental is very serene, and is not at all boring to listen to. It is from that part to the end that is my favorite part. And the final stanza at the end is probably the most haunting lyrics I have heard. A very good way to end the song.

As Cities Burn may not be my favorite band, but they struck gold with this song. Definitely the best on the album and the best by a Christian band. It's a shame that it will never become well-known, but it will forever be remembered to me as the song that best describes the paradox of the afterlife.

Kevin Devine – Ballgame Lyrics 16 years ago
this song is amazing. the way it conveys its sadness and resignation is phenomanal.
while kevin devine's lyrics are generally too political, these lyrics are very good.
if only he could write these kind of lyrics more often instead of the political bullshit

this song is in my opinion coldplay's best lyrically, and it is unfortunate that it is hard to get a hold of.

Foo Fighters – Everlong Lyrics 16 years ago
um, this song is catchy, but is not a great song lyrically. I like it alot as a song, but what depth is there to the lyrics? They seemed contrived, especially "You got to promise not to promise when I say when." It's just another song about a relationship, and does not deserve all the attention it's getting for lyrical prowess
