when he says that "heartbreak is good for the skin" he means that your skin gets thicker when your heart is broken. in other words, a heartbreak might hurt, but it's useful since it makes you stronger and less vulnerable. the narrator disagrees, because it has only made him weaker (drinking and such). thus, the whole song makes sense. |
