The whole album comes straight from the heart of billie joe mike and tre cool like look how long it took them to write it like 3 to 4 years they're still punk cuz isn't it about speaking your mind? Well being fathers and parents from young kids ideologies change yes there are some songs but that's what your gonna hear with rock and roll because there are only so many variations of music notes and it's gonna happen when you want to convey a message but just like everything else on this planet you can't please everyone but green day does try and stay true to their roots "well I'm not stoned I'm just fucked up I got so hi I can't stand up" and try new stuff this is the reason they servived the 90s and the 00s what they want us to do is to take a few mins out of our day and to see what this world has come to like some kids from Alberta Canada were bored so they microwaved a cat or how bush barely did anything about hurricane katrina or how Americans tax money is mainly put towards war when it should be put to better use like maybe back to the people shouldn't everyone be entitled to equal healthcare if ur poor or rich or to improve schooling systems or infrastructure or subsidized housing for the poor or how bush invaded Iraq for no reason at all another couple things like when that Asian guy decapitated that other guys head and cut up the rest of the body hiding it throughout the bus or how a bunch of young kids were bored so they went and killed two 14 year old kids I think that's what they mean by "generation zero" so really this stuff and all the stuff the govt hides from us. Green day just wants us to wake up to reality and see what's really going on in the world today but they do it in they way they do it best- musiccally!! (ps don't mind my typos my t9 is really stubborn it has a mind of it's own) |
