@BigLeaguesNow I know I have no idea what a hard life is. I am grateful that I'm alive and nobody got hurt in the fire. So we have to replace some things. Everything is covered by insurance. That is a miracle. I know I'm in God's hands and I don't rely on my parents to tell me that. I learn mostly everything I know from experience. So if you're really a Christian, you wouldn't look down on me. "Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young..." God doesn't look down on you or me, so what gives you the authority to look down on me? I see how it is. You have no idea how I hate being looked down on all the time! You don't realize what pain I go through every day? Sure, things could be worse, but things could be better, too. Just because I'm young doesn't mean God loves me any less. You were my age at one time too, so don't persecute me for being the age of who you were. I will pray for you, too. And everyone who thinks wrongly about "children" my age "with no valid outlook" I'm just as right as you are, just younger. And don't call me "a perfect example of the disgusting fascist mindset taking over America these days" then pray for me. I did nothing wrong, unless you think having an opinion is wrong. @BigLeaguesNow That right there, looking down on me because I am young, is something I do not appreciate. Is there no way that I can tell people I'm not brainwashed? I thought of everything in my journal myself. My parents do not have anything to do with what I say. I have independance and I think it's time that people older than me can get their heads on straight and realize that I have just as much common sense as anyone else on earth. How long will it take people to realize that we're all equal, no matter how old we are? It's not my fault I'm young. It's God's, and it's not a fault at all. Maybe he made me this age at this time so that I can show people like you who think that 14 year olds are stupid and incomepent that you're wrong! so try thinking like a young person. I have experienced a fire last Friday, and my house is now unlivable. I'm at a friend's house until it is all cleaned up. If you have ever picked up a piece of your house and watched it crumble in your hands, you know how I feel. I have been through things that I hope you never have, or will go through. Try living one day in my life and then try saying again that I don't know what goes on in the big world. I have a pretty good idea. |

What you just said does make me angry, but that's all that your post accomplished. Read my journal here and see what I mean. Excuse me for only speaking the truth, though I do apoligize for speaking the truth rather rudely. And I do know what goes on in the big world. I can sit at my computer, "telling people that Catholic's are brainwashed" because I have common sense and I think that people need to know that just because I'm young doesn't mean I'm wrong. I believe this song has 2 meanings. None of them are wrong, just don't close your mind off to the religious aspects of this song. When it says "Cause when I looked into your eyes and you dared to stare right back You should have said,'Nice to meet you, I'm your other half'" You don't have to take everything so literally. It means that he looked into finding Jesus. Actually, they are a Christian band, and a lot of their songs have to do with this message. such as "must have done something right" so he looked at the Bible and realized that God was always looking at him and hoping he'd find him. "And I'm trying so hard, with all my heart and mind To make your life as good as you've made mine, oh" The first half of that line is about how he WISHES he could make God's life as good as God made his life. but it's pretty much impossible. God gave wayyy too much to us for us to EVER repay him for it, but he'll still let us, by repenting and being baptised. Thanks for listening. |

| i see where ur coming from. I believe this song has 2 meanings, and there are no wrong meanings to a song. I also know what u mean by never feeling this way about a person. I can really relate to you in the whole "can't imagine them not being in ur life" The relationship I'm in right now makes me feel that way. He and I were best friends before we knew our feelings for each other, and we will still be best friends forever, even if we don't stay together. :) On the topic of God, though, We can make God's life better. By being saved, it makes him sooo happy. You think he just put us on the Earth for fun? Nope! he put us here so we could find him. Every little tiny thing that happens to us is controlled by God, so we might find him during our lifetime. "For I know the plans I have set out for you; plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you hope and a future..." It just makes sense. And yes, we are God's other half, but that does put us very in depth in Christianity, so this might confuse you... 1)We are not complete without God. I will explain in point 2. 2)On the night of the last supper, Jesus said to take the bread and the wine in remembrance of him. In those days, though, it would mean that Jesus was proposing to them. Yes, you heard right; proposing. If the person took the wine, they would be married once the groom went to his father's house to add on a room for him and his bride to live in. This could take some time, so the bride and groom were away from each other for a very long time. So basically Jesus was saying that he was leaving for a while, but they would be together again, in Heaven,in his father's house when he was done making the rooms. So yeah...getting married to jesus, who is God. technically he is God. Without ur bride, or in your case, your girlfriend, you would be incomplete without her. | and another thing. I am not catholic. I think catholics have the wrong idea. Pretty much all of them are brainwashed. Any Catholic who isn't brainwashed isn't catholic. If catholics picked up, and actually read they're bibles, instead of keeping them as an accessory to show off that they're better than all of us cuz they're going to heaven, they would see that MANY MANY MANY catholic ideas are DEAD WRONG. For example: baptising babies. have you ever heard of a baby who could talk and had enough brainpower to know what was happening when they're baptised? "Babies are baptised because they carry on the sin of Adam." NO THEY DON'T!!! Adam is responsible for his own sins. If everyone is equal in God's eyes, then why don't we carry on EVERYBODY'S sins? God won't create all of us and only bless a few of us. The pope being above all people is a stupid idea. and at the same time, the preacher is preaching that he's the "messenger of God" NOPE! wrong again! EVERYBODY IS EQUAL BEFORE GOD'S EYES!!! While the preacher is saying "Jesus is the Messiah" he's also saying he's the messenger of God. Jesus is the one and only messenger of God, and that is because he lived his life free of sin. The preacher didn't. We all struggle with something. So the preacher is saying "we're all equal" but at the same time he's saying he's better than all of us? and really! who is actually moved by a catholic lesson? all people do is sleep. I am not catholic, nor have i ever been. I go to a non-denominational church called the Boston Church of Christ. and I have seen some VERY powerful and moving speeches. The teen ministry is great (I'm 14) and everybody is open minded and NOBODY IS BRAINWASHED NOR IS IT A CULT. I go by my own free will and it makes Sunday my favorite day of the week. | I can relate to this. I was best friends with this guy and we just told each other that we really have wayy deeper feelings than friendship for each other...it feels great. So yeah, we were best friends befeore we confessed our feelings, and we will be best friends forever. | I'm a teen in high school and I related this song to my experiences! I go to church and so I always wanna do God's will and be myself all the time, but man, is it hard!!! As you probably know, religion isn't the most popular thing in the world right now, but I need to hold onto my beliefs,and yes, I just want to be accepted for who I am, not for what others want me to be.
