I love this song, I grew up within a half hours drive from where Kenny Chesney grew up, I ain't lyin, he lived on the north side of Knoxville, I lived in West Knox. I now live in a small town southwest of Knoxville and it's every bit what's said in this song. I go to college across the state in Memphis and in no way does it compare. This has become to be one of my favorite songs and Kenny one of my favorite country singers :) |

This song is the anthem of one of my best friend and my friendship. She was always there for me during a really tough time in my life...but since we both started college in August '08 I realized we're a lot different now than we were when we were 11 years old and in the 6th grade. We only went to the same school for that one year. But we ended up going to the same college...dorm rooms right next to each other's somehow...and the whole academic year almost we weren't able to have a civil conversation and now I haven't really talked to her in months except for random text messages and a phone call to tell her something. I haven't been to her house in almost a year. This song makes me cry every time I hear it because I think of those nights where we had so much fun and we were there for each other, etc and I don't have that anymore. Great song nonetheless. |

Beale Street is a famous street in Memphis that has all sorts of bars and a lot of bands play there. It's right in downtown Memphis. I really like this song, but I probably wouldn't get some of the things it says if I weren't a part time resident in Memphis...going to college there. |

This song is so true. I just finish my first year of college and boy I remember what high school was like and how much I hated it, but it was a lot easier than some of the things I have to do now. It's been more than a year since I been a student at my old high school and sometimes I wish I could go back and do it all again. I miss it..but I don't at the same time. |
