asleep or dead" I really get the a feel for Twilight when I hear this song, but it can't bring myself to relate the song and books. I just sorta get a feel for the books when I hear it. |

I really like this song personally. There is not many MCR songs I don't like really. Well I think that the song is sorta about a dude who takes a look back on his past and thinks about the fact that he never really did much in his life. He never learned anything from the number of mistakes that he has made. People question him, saying stuff along the lines of, "Your life as meaning. Your just trying to be emo and stuff." He responds by saying, "If you think that I'm wrong then you never really cared about me." Basically he says if you know me you know that I'm telling the truth. The first part about a movie is a metaphor for life. The end of his life sucks, and his early years were alright. His past didn't screw him over life did.

I believe that song is about the death of a loved one. Most likely someone who died in the line of duty, and the persons unwillingness to fight or kill, but his desire to keep the memory of that loved one alive. In the beginning the loved one who they is the father, though can be substituted by a friend or mentor, asks him to fight for the people oppressed by the tyrants of a country like Iraq. The father says that when he dies he want's his son to join up and fight. At first he is unwilling to fight in a bloody war. Still he truly wants to give his father a legacy so he ends up joining, and doing his part in the fight. People he meets call him a hero for fighting in the war, but he tells them that all he is doing his singing his father's song. He is continuing his father legacy.

Now to do what this site is for and analize the lyrics and tell the world what the song is about in your mind. I think that it is about a person who is a complete cynic who from experance thinks that praying for help is a pointless endevor because in gods eyes no one who isn't willing to sacrifice their lives like Jesus desereves to die. He's asking someone to help him show god two things. One it is a rediculous policy because Jesus is a holy saint, not something that everyone can be. Two that the only way do what god wants is rediculous. He's telling his friend to help him be a mayrtar because that's what he thinks god wants the world to be. |

I, in a way, agree with kurs10. The man is about to die, for what ever reason, and though people all tell him that he is going to go to a better place like heaven he says he wants the truth. He wants them to tell him he is an ass hole will go to hell. At first he says that there are people how need and deserve their reassurance because they acultly are going to, go to heaven. He wants the surrounding people to be honest and kick like should be because he is a bad, bad man. |

I think that it is about the way we have friends that we used to talk to every day, and were insereprable(May be Misspelled) with then you guys grow up and apart to the point where though tou still say that your friends you only end up seeing each other a place like a funeral. They all were a lot alike but not anymore. Once the funeral ends they end up partying and forgetting the death because they are finally together again. Before they leqave they all say they should keep in thouch, but never will. One of them stays at them is basicly saying see you at my funeral because he knows that, that's the only thing that get them together. |

I think that the song is about a guy who is in love with a girl. The girl breaks up with him, but he can't give up on her and still believe that they will be able to get back together. Then she dies and he only now thinks that they are truely through. He holds on to every memory we has of her even the bad ones and though he misses her behonde all belief he begins to blame her for the time he spent longing for her before her death. |

I believe that this song is about a guy trying to impress a girl he loves greatly. The girls kinda likes him too but he really diffrent from her and her ideas about who she wants to be with. Also she doesn't like him nearly as much he does her. The guy thinks that she aloney refuses to be with her because they are nothing alike, but that she still loves him. This not the case though, but he still tries to get together with her even though she doesn't like him at all anymore too to his obesion(Misspelled). He wants to be with her even though it is impossible like snow in the desert, but is still determed to prove her any everyone else how says they won't work out. |

Okay I'm not sure if it has been posted before, but I think that song is more about trying to get people to confrom while there young and impressenable(Might be misspelled). Socity as a whole is scared at the current youth, which is vilonet, rude, and jaded. Most teeagers are this way so socity thinks it's time to put the youth back in it's place. This is being told from one of the teens who said they might leave you guys alone but not me. So he proposes a plan to show them that their wrong. They others don't care and go back to doing what they always do. When this kid trys to convince them to do other wise they just think that he going to try and back them for not caring and casting him off as a loser how is just trying to get in with everyone else and then they to try to change him. |

This would have to be one of the best MCR songs ever made. Right up there with Kill all your friends Famous Last Words, and Black Parade. My current top three in order. I thinks it's about always wantinig more no matter what it is about. A better mariage(Most likely misspelled) more money or what ever. His mansions not a house but a tomb. At this point he thinks it's a dump because there's something better out their. |
