the way i look at this song, i think its about a guy who doesn't want to settle down, "now it seems to me some fine things have been laid upon your table" refering to the girls he has been with but still he didn't want any of 'em, "you only want the ones that you cant get", and the singer is wondering how this guy can survive being aloner " don't your feet get cold in the winter time, the sky won't snow and the sun won't shine", and at the end he advises that deperado "you better let somebody love you before its too late", the singer is addressing that guy as a desperado though the guy himslef doesn't consider himself a one, |
