this song is talking about a hypocrite who has a mask for church and a mask for the world. They go to church and act holy yet when they go out into the world they conform and try to please people and be in the "in crowd". I like how it says "you taste the leather on the shoe" cause it means they put their foot in their mouth because they regret the things they say cause it hurts their witness. A call to the faithful= Telling the true christians to rise up. With outstreched arms to the faithless= Saying no matter what youve done,do,or will do, God will still love you. |
