they always put the lyrics into the booklet like that but the actual way they are sung (like the order and placement in the song and how many times they say things, etc.) is a bit different. however the words are right. |

i don't know why you guys are saying some parts were "written for fred" or with him in mind. taking back sunday has always been a band with two singers long before fred joined. it was that way with john, too. adam sings WAY more on this album than on any other one so it's kind of weird to me that you think some parts were written for fred (or a second singer at all) when adam sings practically everything. i think this song is great and serves fred right because the guys were so nice in the press about his leaving and then he goes and writes all those songs about them and talks crap to magazines, that's messed up. clearly adam and the guys looked up to him and they stabbed him in the back so this song serves him right. fred = jerk who was not as good as john nolan anyway so his departure was not a tragedy whereas john's departure was and no i am still not over it. |

i thought that could be about fred maybe? anyone else see that? fred complained he never got his way in the band so adam is saying he wants to see how fred will do when he does get his way and he's sort of warning him it is hard work to be the lead singer or something? i don't know, just a thought haha. and then "have your way with me" maybe referring to what fred said/wrote about tbs after he left. |

i think the "and i doubt i'll be seeing you around" might have two meanings. 1) fred won't be in the band so they won't be seeing him. 2) it says something about how he can't do it on his own so i think it might mean that his solo career won't go anywhere and that no one will see him around because he won't be famous or popular without taking back sunday. |

i think that clearly shows that it does have to do with drugs. my interpretation was that the drugs are what changed him and made him lose the friends so of course it's not JUST about drugs but he seems to be saying in plain english that drugs changed him and messed up his life. |
