The last time we slept together There was something that was not there You never wanted to alarm me But Im the one thats drowning now he recognized the fact that something was different and probably asked or tried to but she didn't want to worry him or make him upset, but because she's dead now he is upset now and "drowning" per say - possibly blames himself for not digging deeper into the 'something not there' |

definitely agree, beautiful song about the environment and its effects "dive in the empty ocean" ..the various ocean creatures are being killed off and becoming extinct and pretty soon it will empty, not necessarily 'empty' but i think he uses the word choice for effect |
