i'm sure i read somewhere that when they wrote this it was mrs roosevelt not mrs robinson, and then they needed another song for the film soundtrack, so the producers or whoever said just change that name. and so while it does fit with the movie the original meaning was more overtly all the stuff about the generational changes in america at the time etc. that could be totally wrong though because i can't remember where i read it! |
