The drug and alcohol connection makes most sense to me, but to be completely honest, the first thing that came to mind when I heard this song was his relationship with God. I know Smile Empty Soul is not a religious/Christian band, but that's the way I interpreted it at first. I like that view the most even though it's probably not the true meaning. For example, "And even though I don't see clear I feel safe cause your here" None of us really sees life clearly, but with God, we feel safe. I don't know, just a thought. |
