judging by the video and the song: It's about a couple. The husband goes to war. A few months or maybe years has past that he finally gets to come home and start a family. Upon arriving he hears her laugh and is very happy to finally see the woman he married. He goes up the stairs and see's her with another man in their bed. This breaks his heart so he goes out and drinks to try and erase any memory of his wife. Unfortunately, no matter how much he drinks, her image is still in his head. So he got alcohol poisoning and died from it (no where in the video was there EVER a gun shot or a gun in sight.) My understanding of "He put that bottle to his head and pulled the trigger" is that he drank so much that the final drink was what "triggered" his death. As in he raised the bottle, took a gulp (or a sip) and that was the "trigger." For you punks calling the woman a slut: the song was sang in such way that no matter how bad the betrayal was, he still loved her. And because of that, he drank away his life. But if you just LISTEN to the music, you will understand his pain. Now in my opinion, what that woman did was not only heartless but it was selfish. While he went out to serve his country, protect the land in which his wife lives in, as a free country, she go ahead and does what she did. To me? that is a sign of WEAKNESS and i am honestly ashamed of it. As a woman at least. She didn't really love her husband as how she "vowed" she would or else she wouldn't have done what she did. Yes, i understand it must be hard that you never hear from your loved one, or the fact that all of a sudden they stop writing you letters or whatnot, but i also understand that he is not away on vacation, he was away FIGHTING a war that requires 110% of his attention in order to come back home and start his life. I shouldn't be talking since i never experienced that but i can pretty much say that i have seen enough to know how hard it must be. My husband wanted to join the marines and just the thought that i will never see him everyday like how it was, devastated me. I cried and told him not to leave me (yeah yeah, call me selfish for loving him so much) But i couldn't bare the thought of not seeing him often, or worse, getting a letter or a car drive up to my house telling me my husband is not in this world, not part of my world anymore.... And for those women who stayed faithful to their men and waited for them to serve their country, I salute you and your hubbies <3 |

this can mean so many things! assuming that it's the girl (Sharon) is the one who is hurt im going to say it this way (sorry boys lol) she's been lied to by her love and unfortunately she can't get past it. most people have eye contacts when it comes to confrontations. So when she asked for the truth (lies) they looked into each other's eyes and her loved lied to her (masking it with his so called TRUTH) but she felt (or caught, we dont know for sure) him lying and bam, the lyrics does speak for itself. So because he lied to her, she fell out of love. But who can resist, the eyes of their loved ones? thats why she is in and out of love each time she sees him. now im going to assume this part: "See the reason in your eyes, giving answer to the why, your eyes are haunting me..." she was asking herself why he would lie to her, trying to see into his eyes, but no matter what she does, it keeps haunting her, those lies in his eyes. another part im going to assume: "See the mirror in your eyes, see the truth behind your lies, Your lies are haunting me..., See the reason in your eyes, giving answer to the why, your eyes are haunting me..." she sees herself in his eyes, as if he loves her, and only has eyes for her, trying to see the truth behind the lie (OBVIOUSLY, he didn't want to lose her so he lied) but regardless of what the reason may be to the truth behind the lie, the lie is still bothering her. another assumption: "Why can't you feel it? Why can't you see it? In and out of love." Why doesn't he see how much she's hurting? how is it that he isn't seeing it? because you don't feel or see it, why should she be in love with someone so heartless? "It keep keep runnin' It keep keep fallin' Let it fade away. Away away away away Oh Let it fade away." let the pain and the lies just fade away so she doesn't have to suffer anymore. and perhaps work on that trust again? (in and out of love) |

| In my opinion, this song is about someone's life moving too fast or they are stressing and they need to slow down. I also consider this song a way of a love thing. It means that she has so much to handle in life that she doesnt have room for love, but she WANTS to love and feel the love so she needs the help of someone to SLOW HER DOWN so she can enjoy everything there is in life. This song can defiantly be dedicated to people who you dont hardly see everyday because they are "too busy" and you know they are busy. =)) | |

| Yeah, "Ligaya - Gouryella" is a "moving-on" inspiration to me. I have a question.. could this song be interpreted not as a lovy dovy thing but dedicating it to a criminal who says and shows that he has changed? for example: "Everywhere Im lookin now Im surrounded by your embrace Baby I can see your Halo You know youre my saving grace Youre everything I need and more Its written all over your face Baby I can feel your Halo Pray it wont fade away" This guy of who im speaking of is my cousin but he's like a close big brother to me and the things he has done were stupid but thats what you do when you are young, soo each time i look at him, all i see is a halo, its written all over his face that he is innocent, and i hope that that "look" of his never fades, because it makes me realize that the mistakes he has done were childish. But i don't know if this song can be taken in that kind of way, could anyone answer my question pleasE? |

Since no one put the meaning of this song i guess im technically the first one.... I believe this has to do with family struggling... I noticed how in the video theres foreclosure signs and loosing a job and stuff like that. So he looses himself (a typical kind of human break down) hard to find a job, house is at jeopardy. And to me, he is hoping that when he comes home, his wife and kid will still love him. It could also mean new opportunity... but i see it as what i mentioned before. |
