When they are with their lover the world appears a more beautiful place. The hero has the illusion of birdsband stars appearing when their lover is close by as they (just like the hero) want to be close to the lover. |

GREAT SONG...why has no-one commented this?
This song is about loving someone unconditionally even though the relationship is over. The hero cannot forget their lost love as everywhere they go they are reminded of their lover and the places they used to go together. Though he/she is trying to get over the relationship they are willing to give it another shot if only their lover will "come back to the places where" they "used to go" and things can go back to the way they were. |

This song is so beautiful... I don't really want to say the meaning behind it because it could be anything. Wilson writes this song on a universal subject. We all have our own reasons for being up in our room with the security and familiarity of it and shutting the world out. |

He is leaving his love behind, but not forever and will do anything to make him going away easier for her. Despite the distance he can see himself loving her forever...an underated beautiful love song. |

My favourite song ever. So much than just a car song...as a result of bragging to his friends about his car he has ended up saying he will take part in a car race of which he is nervous about "I keep thinking that something's bound to go wrong". But the comforting refrain of his lover's "Don't worry baby" is getting him through. When she tells him not to worry, something in him wants to take part in the race because knowing that she loves him makes him want to be braver and better. |

Tells the story of a lonely teenage girl who uses music as a method of escapism. Her own problems and the violence and social problems around her seem insignificant when she is dreaming of the smiths or dancing at night. Captures what it is like to be a teenager. The heroine is an ordinary "messed up kid" (perhaps like ourselves) and for that we are meant to love her. |

this song is so flawless... from what I gather, she is watching him pack up in order to move away. she is scared of the change and the new people he will meet but is too scared to admit her true feelings for him (or perhaps she is choosing to keep them from him). she wants things to stay as they are and is trying to convince him that thing's haven't changed and that here he is with his "kind". She wants him to tell her that "they don't love you like I love you", illustating the heroine's need for requited love and appreciation of the pain she is enduring in being in love. Bloody good song. |
