I think this song's pretty self explanitory. The 'church' represents what punk is becoming- Safe, unamusing, boring, and "politically correct" The 'skate' represents what punk started as, what it should be- Fast, fun, dirty, dangerous, and hardcore. He's saying we need to seperate the 'church' and the 'skate', keep punk what it always has been, and dont give in to this poppy bitch-punk scene thats been going around. |

I don't understand how this song can be defined as "beautiful" as it was in perks, to me it's actually quite depressing. At first I took it as a "beautiful" song about a better place, a 'heaven' or utopia of sorts, but then i heard a cover of it by xiu xiu.. and hearing this: "Sing me to sleep And then leave me alone Don't try to wake me in the morning 'Cause I will be gone Don't feel bad for me I want you to know Deep in the cell of my heart I will feel so glad to go," in a less beautiful tone, gave me the idea that it was about suicide. He wants to go to sleep and never wake up. Nonetheless, it is an amazing song/perfect write. |

The meaning to this song is pretty obvious. Even though hes rich, and "covered with diamonds and jewels," hes not happy with his life and is considering killing himself, but hesitates because he wants to live. Just live a better life. |
