he is spelling out "because," which is more logical anyway, but nate has denied the becca thing personally. |

oh and in response to rachelrenee or whatever, a "real fan" is allowed to criticize and dislike stuff, too. you dont have to mindlessly follow and adore every single thing a band puts out in order to be considered a "real fan." im not saying that youre not sincere in your claim that youve loved all of it, im just saying that disliking a song or two doesnt change considering someone to be a fan. |

everyone on here has a right to their own fucking opinion, people. and yes, a person can still consider themselves a fan of a band despite disliking one song, or even an entire album for that matter. alright, yes, im one of those "pretentious pricks" who loved them back in the put up or shut up days, was pretty disappointed by so wrong, and is now becoming revolted by this garbage. yes, i understand that a band changing their sound the slightest bit is not equivalent to selling out, but when a band used to actually make music that had some substance and feeling to it, and now has been reduced to making this cookie-cutter, ridiculous bullshit, obviously there are going to be old fans who are not happy. if there are people who like this, then that's great. and if the band's happy, then that's even greater. but with all that said, i think this song sucks, and im allowed to think that. same way youre allowed to think that it doesnt.
and because this is songmeanings - it's pretty obvious what this song is about; flaky relationship where neither of them are ever really happy ("damned if do ya, damned if i dont"); he puts everything in towards the relationship, and shes still disappointed. he makes plans, she blows them off, etc. but he still doesnt wanna quit and so they continue this insatiable cycle.
my interpretation may be off but i could only take one or two listens /looks at the lyrics. |

i like the way trolley wood sounds like holly wood, though it mightve been unintentional. but its as if its further reiterating how special this place is; trolley wood is this fantastical, perfect escape, and holly wood (/the real world) is everything else and what theyre escaping from, if only for a little while. |

pretty much speaks for itself; about the disillusionment and ignorance of america and such. agreed though, this is such a good song/band, really refreshing. |

its "so i spit the better taste out", not bitter
just a letter, but i think its kinda a big difference, just further reiterating how he lacks the willpower to follow through and truly work to change himself and his life
but yeah, nicki911 pretty much nailed the meaning |

| Third Eye Blind – Non-Dairy Creamer Lyrics

"It’s really just a song about being real versus being fake. I started thinking about all these words that people like Donald Rumsfeld would use, like “enhanced interrogation technique” or “detainee” or “threat level orange.” All these words, it’s like George Orwell wouldn’t be able to keep up with it. It’s just so fake! And these things just keep getting stuck. I just said that one day — all of these things are like non-dairy creamer. It’s not cream, it’s powder!" (Stephan)

!!dear person who is about to post a comment:
everyone single person in the world knows that this is a fake interview, that it is todd from the faint, not conor, talking, that this is a joke and conor showing his sense of humor, etc etc etc.
you do not need to restate this for the umpteenth time
THANKS
oh and to the 5 million people who keep asking:

/end my bitchy/hypocritical rant because i didn't even add anything new myself |
