For some reason, this song reminds me of the story of Emmitt Till... "The blacker stain on history" he was black, and the "stain" is that he will be remembered by the people who saw him lynched, or heard about it. A stain can't be removed, and neither can what happened to Emmitt. "The angry mob Yeah they were unison da-da-da They can't be stopped" that's the people that had him lynched perhaps? It's probably not the meaning of the song, Emmitts story, but it does match pretty well I think... |
