I think what the lyrics are trying to say is that obsessions with new people are normal. It's real with someone new because you never know what you're going to get. I guess, technically it's not real, but you're so intrigued by what it could be, that it FEELS real. "tomb" of love refers to being in love with only one person, when, who (besides society) is to say that we are only to love one person? ... it is a tomb, and you do get lonesome with the same person, no matter how much you love them - so you want to hallucinate - and when you get up in the morning, the partner is "dead" (leave you to die) because you get up in the morning and leave them and search for other things...(things that, most of the time you can't have...hallucinations...but something real, something new) |
