I Love Bus Driver...yet another song where he lays into mainstream rappers for being so cliched and uninspired while delivering on that and saying some things that no one else would ever think to. "And I'm too caustic to run for office or be expunged for my agnostic plunge." ^^You will pretty much never hear 50 Cent, Jeezy, or any other boring rapper making a trillion dollars a second throw out even one sentence that intelligent. |

A "troglodyte" can also be a prehistoric cave-dweller, hence its proximity to the "Cro-Magnon" reference. It also can be used apparently to mean a person who is excessively basic in their thought processes or emotions, or someone very barbaric, or also someone who is unacquainted with how the world works. I think it best applies to the 1st two of those here, but all 3 work...the Cro-Magnon thing is a joke, obviously, most likely aimed at George W. Bush's stupidity. And then the more practical definition also works, as in addition to accusations of being excessively stupid, many feel Bush was excessively violent in his foreign policy. And given those problems in foreign policy, one could argue he's a troglodyte in the sense of misunderstanding the world. Also, in the first stanza, "dull" should be "glum", but other than that, this seems right. |
