Jane's Addiction – Jane Says Lyrics 15 years ago
"She gets mad
And she starts to cry
Takes a swing but she can't hit
She don't mean no harm
She just don't know
What else to do about it"

This part of the song just floors me every time. As a former addict, I know how it is to feel that hopeless. Of the millions of songs about addiction, I don't know of another one that more accurately describes a junkie in between fixes. Incredible songwriting.

The Smiths – There Is a Light That Never Goes Out Lyrics 15 years ago
Is it just me, or does Morrissey sing "there is a light and it never goes it" repeatedly, instead of "there is a light that never goes out"? Forgive me if I'm dense. I hear two syllables in the middle of the sentence.

The Smiths – Handsome Devil Lyrics 15 years ago
Just to add something to the "boy in the bush" line, "The Boy in the Bush" is a 1924 novel by D.H. Lawrence. I had to read it in college. It's mind-numbingly dull. So, maybe the book has some connection with that line? Who knows. Anyone's guess is as good as mine.
