| U2 – Peace On Earth Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
"Tell the ones who hear no sound Whose sons are living in the ground Peace on Earth No whos or whys No one cries, like a mother cries For peace on Earth She never got to say goodbye To see the colour in his eyes Now he's in the dirt Peace on Earth" I went to my brother's high school graduation today, and a man went up to the mic to talk about his son who died tragically last year. It was heartbreaking. Those lines sound like they touch on the loss of a child |

"There's a place I love to go Strangers take me there Dreamed about the day I learned to fly" In a video with Dave Grohl, he says he used to go riding around on a Harley in LA dreaming of being famous. Just saying. |

| Foo Fighters – Seda Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
To me, this song is about a girl I met at an amusement park. She was hot. I had some long talks with her... but I didn't catch her name or number. So I heard this song, and from now on I'm going to pretend her name was Seda. She was a bit Turkish looking, after all. This song is about all the opportunities I could have had with her. |

| Bruce Springsteen – Lost In The Flood Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I always assumed that "Hey gunner man that's quicksand, that's quicksand that ain't mud," has to do with the gunner man not knowing what he's been through. This could be taken on a less literal level, and interpreted as the general public not being aware of all the bullet's they've dodged over the course of their life. Just a thought. | |
| Bruce Springsteen – Lift Me Up Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| One comment? Really? I heard this from the Essential Collection, and it immediately grabbed my interest. I heard it on what was one of the shittiest days of my entire life. On the way to school I saw my cat dead on the side of the road, and everything else in the day went wrong too. This and Yesterday by The Beatles were the two songs that I discovered that were really uplifting (irresistible pun). One of Springsteen's greatest works. It's a shame there are only a couple bands producing good music these days. | |

| I don't mind them being Christian. I just hate their music. | |
| Bob Dylan – Like a Rolling Stone Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
I personally think this is about a runaway. I've been conflicted with running away all my life. I feel like money is useless, and work keeps us from living the way we should. My dad ran away when he was 17. Made it from DC to Florida, California, and back. He always used to tell me about how great it was, but now he tells me it's far too dangerous. I don't know, maybe I'll to a similar thing some day. But, yeah, I think the lyrics for the most part support my conclusion. But it's just an opinion. |

| Led Zeppelin – The Rain Song Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
I agree man, I was born in 1995. I spent the first 10 years of my life listening to crap like the Backstreet Boys, because it was catchy. A couple years ago I got into Led Zeppelin, The Who, Jethro Tull, Bruce Springsteen... and now I refuse to listen to almost anything that isn't classic rock, besides the good ones like Foo Fighters and Kings of Leon. But anyway, this might be my favorite Led Zep song. I don't think I can add anything to what it means, but I love it. Especially because it's somewhat obscure... it's so beautiful. |
