Thom Yorke – Skip Divided Lyrics 16 years ago
It's actually about really doubting the relationship that you're in, and also becoming a lapdog of sorts, because you start to feel guilty for having these thoughts. Especially if a a marriage and maybe even kids, stand in the way of your "freedom."
The reason that he wants to "skip" is because there was no "big connection", and now he's just going through the motions of a relationship that he feels morally obliged to stay loyal to, though there is no real love, no real intellectual stimulus, just great sex, as Thom said in the XFM interview.
And by going through the motions like a robot, he feels distant, like he's just a number and a location, because all he's really got is a name and a situation.

Related fun-fact: the name "Skip Divided" translates to being divided on your feelings/thoughts of leaving, or "skipping".

Klaxons – Two Receivers Lyrics 16 years ago
It's "Whose AIM is to fall flat at their feet", not "mission".

And if it was;
"And in space, two receivers turn away
Just in case, two receivers turn away
To displace, two receivers TURNED away",
then the chorus would make sense.

@Flamsmark;
What you said about the novel Gravity's Rainbow (by Pynchon) is correct, though I haven't heard that the book is some sort of "key" to understand Klaxon's lyrics. Great read though.

More on the novel here; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gravity's_Rainbow (Klaxons are mentioned under "Cultural impact")
