guys, you're being a little to literal with the 'shooting'. Johnny did not kill his wife. It is a metaphor for the ending of their love affair. hence: There was too many ways that you could kill someone Like in a love affair, when the love is gone he broke off their love/marriage and this was like the end of her world/life. even at the end she says 'i dont want this bridge to burn' meaning she still misses him and doesnt want to lose contact with him still after all that time. she still feels for him. |
