isn't it about the new age thing? things like "the secret" and all? well even though they are singing this song (the world is in your hand!) the strange thing is they haven't got the world in their hand. i've never saw them anywhere except one time in a tv show. i like the song though. after hearing it over and over again for idk, 100th time i'll get enough of my life and said alright, alright, i'm changing my life! |

sorry for triple post, but i don't know how to delete 2 posts above... if you tell me i'll delete it. anyway maybe this song is not about religion, but i just kinda remembered the dialogue between jesus and someone who says "let me hold your cup/goblet (i don't know the english for it;p) for you, teacher(again, i don't know the english, so it might sound weird to you)" and jesus answered "you won't be able to bear the burden of it" or something like that. the "Save your sermons for someone that's afraid to love I'll be right here lying in the hands of god" seems like "I'll be able to handle it, because i love you and i have god by my side" and all the skin began to grow back seems like a resurrection thing. I don't know the meaning of the floor and ceiling thing though... so, this is my opinion. hope it add more possibility of the song meaning. This song is the most ambiguous song in the album. therefore it's fun to dechiper, isn't it:) |

Somehow i feel like it's about loving god... with tears of joy and all. First he's talking to God, then he's talking to someone who didn't believe in god. No matter what other said about his faith, he keeps believing. "If you never flew why would you? Cut the wings off a butterfly" If the one he's talking to never feel like him, how could he judge his faith. |

I'm really amused that you guys somehow connect this with Judas and Jesus. How did you get that idea0_0? Isn't this song is about patriotism and all that sort of things? Flag, family, war = Maybe Iraq war or something like that, where it was said to be a holy war but actually happened for oil. "I put up with your family Full of bigots and fanatics" Maybe about fanatics in America that (arghwhatsthewordicantremember) think those wars are the right thing to do. |
