all right i think both of you are right in your own respect. the song is about a man that ODed on purpose and instead of going to heaven or hell he was sent to purgatory. While in purgatory God and Satan tell him to observe the "highlights" of his own life. When he is done over looking all the good and bad decisions and actions of his life, HE (not God or Satan) makes the choice if he is more suited for heaven or hell. But instead of choosing one or the other he "escapes" from purgatory to retun to earth to fix all the things he did wrong so there is no question the next time, he actually dies, he will go to heaven. im making my own video for the song and ill send you guys/girls the youtube link when im done with it so it can fill-in any holes in my interpretation. and im making the video because i really didnt like A7X's because i feel it didnt really explain anything, they skipped the string intro and the "Loved ones back home all crying" verse. but thats my opinion have a great day! |
