Team Sleep – Tomb Of Liegia Lyrics 13 years ago
"The light have called?" That's not right at all. Here:
Chorus 1:
Hear the nighthawks cry, their voices dry and hollow,
Hear the crowd cheer, they cheer me to the gallows.

Chorus 3:
Hear the nighthawk cry, his voice is dry and hollow.
Hear the crowd call, they cheer me to the gallows.
Hear the nighthawk call, his voice is dry and hollow.
Hear the nighthawk call, in a voice that's hollow.

The Devil Wears Prada – Survivior Lyrics 13 years ago
Dude...That Reverb-thick keyboard riff throughout the song is the "theme song" from the British zombie film 'Dead Set.' It's a pretty good zombie flick too. But yeah, that's definitely the Dead Set catchy jingle theme!

Muse – Stockholm Syndrome Lyrics 15 years ago
Honestly the lyrics could have been spoken in the language of Gibberish, and I would still love it. The last 8 bars of the song make me cum

No you are all wrong. The bassist in an interview said they have several 100% literal songs. This song is literally about a firefly that they were fascinated by that they caught in a jar

Shinedown – Sound of Madness Lyrics 15 years ago
In my opinion, Tamaranis has it absolutely right. Shinedown seems to be referring to people who are violent and commit crimes, and have a backstory or a fucked up past to back up their actions. The music video seems to confirm this, as it portrays a group of guys who have abducted a child of someone they know in exchange for money. It is definitely not the way a psychologist would approach dealing with people like this, Shinedown would prefer to deal with them with a 'shotgun blast' or a 'kick in the ass'.

But this song rocks man, even if you're not listening to the words. LOVE Shinedown, HATE their Simple Man cover!

Shinedown – Simple Man (Lynyrd Skynyrd cover) Lyrics 15 years ago
Well everyone is entitled to their own opinion and if you like this cover thats good, but I definitely do not. I think that for some younger listeners this maybe the first time they heard this song, and I could see how if I heard this version first I would definitely like it 100%. But I grew up on this song and hearing Shinedown cover it just doesn't do it justice in my opinion. But like I said, if you like it that's cool, it's a great song (the original).

Anberlin – Miserabile Visu (Ex Malo Bonum) Lyrics 16 years ago
I don't take any offense to what you said. Music has always been about personal tastes. I've always had the patience for music, it's one of the most important things to me. As for me, I think this is one of the most beautiful and well crafted modern songs I've heard in quite some time. The monotony you mentioned in the song, probably the music for the verses is what you were mentioning, I think actually helps make the song what it is. For these 'epic' type tracks, you have to keep things slow and steady, rolling along calmly, so that the explosion in the back half of the song is that much more 'epic.' It's a tactic in song-writing that several hundred bands use. The instruments sound absolutely perfect to me. Good stuff. This is my second favorite Anberlin song with "The Unwinding Cable Car" being the first.
