Manchester Orchestra – I Can Feel Your Pain Lyrics 16 years ago
"...That I have not been to since your goodbye"

This line automatically hits me in the sense that he doesn't want to be reminded of cemetaries and death, as he's feeling scared for this person in letting them go and doesn't want to face the fact of death or loss as he loves this person.

"I was scared to call your mother
For news that you weren't getting better
My God, just what the hell am I supposed to do?"

To me he feels as though he is trapped and alone. He wants to make things right again but knows that there's no hope as he has to come to terms with the fact that we all lose the ones we love the most at some stage in our life. He feels as though he has nothing left to live for anymore.

"Beautiful. I only say that word for you."

This line tells me just through emotions at how much he is in love with this person. It also shows me that this is his ONE true love in his life, and nobody can ever replace them.

"...And Hal-hallelujah to the one in our bones."

This line suggests that he will never forget this person as they are with him forever; in memory now. He will always feel this deep pain for the person who he loves.

I doubt that anyone will disagree with me in the fact that this song is incredibly moving. Just in the sense and meaning of how emotions are portrayed throughout.
Amazing,
