@vumasster.. i do agree i would hate to see lupe denying something so obvious. but ive heard this meaning ( and this is the meaning i would like to believe) dont believe everything you hear. just because someone is speaking out against the norm doesnt mean its true. you need to sift through whats out there and form your own opinions. for instance he saying hes not voting for obama -- form your own opinion, dont just blindly accept what one man says; im sure hes not advocating for everyone to vote for what he wants..
i just got into hiphop recently, and lupe even more recently, but i cant get enough of this shit |

are we sure this is for his sister...because, according to many sources (the new RS review for one), its leroi....if he finally released 'sister', i dont understand why as his sister died quite a while ago, and more importantly, he had tons of more anticipated songs that fans wanted (SHOTGUN!) |

yes...it is very similar to sister because it pretty much IS the same song...i think its just a polished up studio version of sister---i dont think dave would copy an entire song and change some words to tribute leroi..i could be wrong |

this is kinda confusing..the first 2 stanzas sound like people in general usually do not show compassion for their fellow man (as it opens with one guy trying his best to ignore a homeless man trying to get whatever he can, but then feeling sorry for a bear--which although is one of gods creatures---would tear him to shreds)
then the next verse, it sounds like he believes everything will be taken care of by someone else. when in reality you have to be that person and at least try to contribute
that sounds accurate to me, but the chorus i dont understand at all--it sounds like just relax...and then the last verse with the blood |

the part with romeo and juliet, sounds like that water song from blue october (not sure of the name). anyways, i really dont like that part after hearing the other song, but the rest of the album sounds pretty good so far |
