| Sham 69 covered this and changed one of the lines to some dig at Malcom Mclaren. Decent cover though. | |

| Thought it was about Tracy Marander. His girlfriend. Maybe they had an argument and these are his answers. According to my sources she was always on about him being lazy and not cleaning the house. | |

I think it's about selling out. For the price of your soul I will hold your heart in my talons For three summers straight you've been my sweet arm candy "arm candy" being the person you bring to social events, premiers, and record label parties, because she'll make YOU look better, how else would you get this great person on your arm? Also, suggesting "deslolate middle-aged doom", that would be those old men you see dating young women for no apparent reason. |

It's about yuppies and the like. Ever read Bret Easton Ellis books or watched American Psycho? You'll see what I mean. Spread that smug and slimy seed, Borrow quotes from the culture, and Hop another bar until the rooster crows. and It is to watch you pump the poison through your veins. All sound very yuppie-like traits to me. It can't be a sequel to Admit It because it's not at all about fashion posers, actually I think In Defense of the Genre is the best sequel to Admit It, and this song is about rich snobs who hide their evil deeds with money. |
