hi ... there alot of great posts here. I was thinking from a different point of view - what if it wasn't from a personal point of view? what if it's told like a story without names? e.g. Man : "Jesus don't want me for a sunbeam. 'Cause sunbeams are not made like me. Don't expect me to cry for all the reasons you had to die. Don't ever ask your love of me." Jesus : "Don't expect me to cry. Don't expect me to lie. Don't expect me to die for thee. " I had to get around the belief that Jesus loves everyone to come to this. to put it another way... what if you changed the names?....like instead of "man" it's "steve"...and instead of "Jesus" it's "ted" . . . well anyways its late or early in the night, so I may be thinking outwardly, but its a proposed meaning and not a religious statement... Hmm... I proof read it just now and i think it sounds silly but I'm going to post it anyways. |
