Um guys.. Isn't it possible Johnny's dad got a new job and moved the family to Reno? (It could be another town; Reno just sounded funny to me. Maybe Milwaulkee is better since it is a Hanson reference.. Except that the walkie talkie incident actually happened in Albequerque...)
I don't find the song haunting, just sad. When I was a kid, all my friends ended up moving away (I live near a military base), so I remember looking in the yearbook and realizing they weren't there. And now I'm almost 20 years old and don't have a "best friend" because of all the "Johnny's" disappearing as soon as we became buddies :(

My brother rolled his eyes at me when I kept rewinding the "Where's the Love" video in "Tulsa, Tokyo, and the Middle of Nowhere" to see that split second where Taylor looks up and flashes his blue eyes. Hey, it was HOTT! But we both thought the "lost and found" line was hilarious. It's like Isaac was thinking, "What is random and rhymes with 'on the ground'?... Hmm.. Lost and found!!!" |

Although it's not my favorite Hanson song, it might be the one I relate to the most right now. I love the line "the years go by/they're adding up/she clicks her heels but she's still stuck." I'm in college now, and I feel so uprooted and out of place like time is passing me by.
When I went to "Walk Around the World" in Nashville Isaac said it was about a girl just asking for someone to be there for her in tough times. |

Zac said in an interview on songfacts.com that "This Time Around" is sort of the ultimate "f*** you." I found it funny that that was exactly what they said to Island Def Jam AFTER this album.. So it was kind of a premonition I guess? |
