I have kinda a different take on this. I don't think he's mad at her so much as at himself. He's mad cause its nearing the end of a wasted year (may day parade) in which he couldn't come up with the guts to tell her he likes her. "You don't know how far you've gone-----in my mind Or recognize who you've become------to me How'd you grow to be so hard"------to talk to Also, I LOVE the I spy something red in the idea of a childhood game. I think the idea behind that is this girl probably can't figure him out either, In the game you guess what the person is thinking about (something she's probably wondering) But in the end she won't be able to figure him out "Something red" is waayyyy to vague, he's gonna just have to come out and tell her. Thats my interpertation, don't know if its right. But I like to think of it that way. |

| Basically, what this song's meaning comes down to is, a girl being mad at a guy (for whatever reason it may be, yet particularly involving lying of some sort), but she's like "hey YEAH I'm mad, but whatever I'm over it."
