| Necrophagist – The Stillborn One Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
No, no. This song is directly about a person who is born dead. The essence of a day is not existant because the person never came into being and never will understand the beauty of a day or sunrise or anything for that matter because they were born dead. When sunset and dawn coincide dawn meaning birth, sunset meaning death. This has nothing to do with a piece of land. What does a piece of land have to do with death? The dehydrated soils are a metaphor because dehydrated soils may contain seeds, IE potential life, but if not hydrated life will not occur. If life does not occur for a newborn they will never know life because they were literally born dead. Lifx is one who thought suicmez was a christian, hah, his name may be christian but he's not naiive enough to think that a book could truly explain meaning of universe. |

| No no, we have it all wrong, in one way or another this song is about death because every other song on the album is purely about death. I'm not sure to the meaning of this song so i wont even attempt to interpret it. I will say that it definitely is about death though because every other song on epitaph is directly about elements associated with death. A symbolic stabwound from a betraying friend would not cause death, certainly dismay, but not death. So somehow we haven't gotten the correct meaning to this song yet. Epitaph is an inscription upon a tombstone when one dies, a description of dead soul. Which is why THIS album is purely about death. Onset of putrefaction is more like morbid stuff, still death, but branches out into necrophagia and other gruesome topics thus is less refined. | |

| Necrophagist – Symbiotic In Theory Lyrics | 16 years ago |

Unable to move from a point of view, driven by reasons as old as time itself. (We are forced to obey the rules of nature, for reasons that are as old as time) Symbiotic In Theory (life is in essence symbiotic, the theory part suggests belief in a higher power with intelligent design but obviously not a diety we understand. Think about it, a theory means: # # hypothesis: a tentative insight into the natural world; a concept that is not yet verified but that if true would explain certain facts or phenomena; "a scientific hypothesis that survives experimental testing becomes a scientific theory"; "he proposed a fresh theory of alkalis that later was ..." which implies intelligent design of the symbiotic world we life in) In order for a life to be commanded it must be owned. (Because life MUST abide by certain rules IE: the rules of physics, the rules of biology, the rules of nature, something which we must admit is more powerful than us is at work. That something you can call "god" or you can call it nature) Symbiotic In Theory Gravity forces water to flow downhill, a will is not given. (again, the rules of gravity cannot be broken. implying a higher power of some sort.) Inferior or superior, will is that which decides. (we cannot simply DECIDE to not obey the rules of nature. try to not eat or jump off a building and fly, you will fail. Try to not die, ever, you'll fail. Again, implying a higher power. See a trend here?) Gravity forces water to flow downhill, a will is not given. To give and take, to be... (nature requires that organisms give and take amongst one another to support life, here's where DEATH gets brought in, remember, this IS a death metal album after all. As we die, organisms feed off us, as we live we take from nature eating dead things, in the end, we give it all back to bacteria) Symbiotic In Theory (and it was all symbiotic in theory.) |

| Necrophagist – Seven Lyrics | 16 years ago |

lifx is totally off. if anyone else noticed the entire epitaph album deals purely with the issue of death. Every song in epitaph is about death and it's all metaphorical. No morbid lyrics in epitaph, that's what the onset of putrefaction was for, the morbid stuff. Suicmez is definitely going for a pure death metal and his lyrics are extremely technical. I think "thedeathofman" had it damn close when he said that it is basically describing a preacher or anyone who believes in heaven and is basing their beliefs upon conviction toward others. Im not sure if seven is a direct reference to the seven deadly sins. but I think "the seven" 7 if you look at the number seven it can be interpreted as a ladder to heaven. at which point there is a plateau where you would be if you supposedly were higher and found heaven. or even a beam from the heavens from god taking you above all else. Distracting from your deficiencies while you point at others. this part is about preachers and those with certain convictions against other's actions in life. (Once) enlightened you judge and execute. Once you learn the seven deadly sins or whatever YOU happen to CONVICT as a sin, you can then judge and execute. To be the only one to discover the seven, (To) toss open and pass the gates to heaven. To be the only one to discover the 7, that is again, the figurative number seven which looks like a pathway to above I could be way off but I know in one way or another this song deals directly with death in some regard because all the other songs on this album do the same thing. Suicmez is brilliant either way. LOL at stabwound666's response to lifx it made me keekle |
