in the same party, the guy got drunk, had sex with his best friend and drove drunk. Obviously he had an accident and that's how his friends dead bodys ended up in his trunk. The girl who he had sex with tho, is still alive and now he is afraid that since she is greedy for money, she might tell on him. The basic theme of the song is friends and how certain events can change people. |

this song is talking about how time, jealousy and greed can change people. The song is talking about how when the guy lost his friends due to drunk driving, he turned to the pothead crowd and one of the girls found out his secret and that she might tell on him because she is greedy for money "friends are friends until they seek gold". The song also talks about how his friends changed overtime "friends are friends until they grow old". The basic theme of the song is friends and how they change...and that's all i can tell right now. |

ok, so the first two paragraphs are talking about depression. you know when people are depressed and they have this "voice" inside their heads that they have to fight against all the time...so basically the guy is saying that no matter how hard the voice will shout, he'll still try to ignore it. The third verse, "when nobody wants you in their lives" is simply the guy explaining that when you're depressed you feel all alone in the world but it is still going to be alright if you fight against the feeling. The next two verses are simply the guy exaplaining to his inside voice that no matter how much it tries to stop him from dreaming and achieving, he still will continue to fight against it. Mr. Icecream sun is simply him saying that people who are usually cold on the outside are actually really really warm hearted. The next part of the song is the guy himself that people are going to disagree with him and its fine as long as you keep your mouth shut and don't start fights "no one will love what you love to defend" this simply means that no matter how hard you try, you will not be able to change that other person's opinion or views. "It all will start where it ends" simply means that fights are gonna end up getting you nowhere because neither side will give in. The next part of the song, says that it is better to keep quiet because it avoids fights. The last part of the song (the most beautiful part) is simply the guy telling himself to wake up and look at how beautiful the world is. He is also telling himself that he is not alone. Finally, the chorus ties the whole song together. If you guys haven't realized yet, when people are depressed they tend to be more emotional and very argumentative. So this song is all about depression.

I agree with confucius. Except I think that the guy is warning the world that if it doesn't start treating him better soon, the world will have to pay a heavy price this song is kinda similar to the song "Waking the Demon" By BFMV even tho this is indie rock and that is emotive hardcore, the lyrics can be interpreted in the same way...Revenge. |
