I love how he paints a picture of the girl, along with her personality with random facts and seemingly useless details about her. Yet even then, he "pixlizes" an even better description of her than he would be able to otherwise. Oh, and yeah, "pixlizes" probably isn't a word... |

Christians now? Persecuted for their faith, to the point of death? Who would do such a thing? Tell me what religion is so high above you that you could possible feel the sting of persecution? I find it ironic for you to say that, when your religion is Christianity - One of the most bloody and persecuting faiths in the world. I also find it interesting that, because you find gays as unworthy in the eyes of their god (and yours) to be able to have the same freedoms as you, you are accused of hate speech and that you find this to be an example of persecution... Your idea of persecution fascinates me. Plus, the people accusing you have the same rights as you too, just because they disagree with you, doesn't mean they can't have rights... What religion in this fine country do you suppose makes up the vast majority of faith? The last time I checked, Christianity was the religion that not only has more followers in general, but by most politicians as well. These "Left-wingers" you speak of are mostly Christians too. So what religion is "persecuting" you for thinking gays are evil? Tell me, is it those Muslims? Or maybe those annoying Buddhists? Are they spoiling your power as the main religion, even though they make up like 40% of the world's religion, combined with Hinduism, and about 1.5% of the U.S. Luvmymusic3, I think you are associating your beliefs too much with the song. You also did not follow the lyrics; it was "fog" not "fox", so the association to the president doesn't fit. What is "commusim" mean? Do you by chance mean Communism? Funny, you are right, Violet Hill is a place. It is also true that it is part of a currently Communist state. Sadly, it is also a popular hiking place near Hong Kong, China. Last time I checked, hon, China was not the founding place of Communism, I'm sorry to disappoint you and your Christian-Republican phobia of not only the foreign, but Communism. And for future reference, the ideology for Communism came and was practiced since the beginning of time. It was practiced also by Christian and Jewish communities at their rise. (hey notice how "Communism" and "community" sound alike? Funny...) |

Nice interpretation! I always thought that "banks" were river banks rather than "banks" associated with money. How I missed that I don't know. But regarding the fog, perhaps what it could mean the fleetingness of fog as well as the confusion and the coolness of it. Thanks! |

I played this for my Quinceanera in Mexico. No one know what the hell it said, but they loved it. It was incredible when I danced to this! there was confetti at the end and it was so bittersweet. It was sad and happy at the same time. Like growing up... It was perfect for my waltz! I also played music by Bjork. |

For now, I could only type out the first stanza interpretation of the song. I tried not to make it a simple " It talks about pollution" carp, so it is quite long. It is an open interpretation, so any opinions are urged and appreciated. The first line refers to the constant “renewal” of the world, without any process actually occurring. The second line could refer either to how a tire hub spins around and around with no control of its own or to how low it is in regards to the driver. It gives a strong image as to how we (or he) see our lives. “Eating seeds…past time activity” could refer either to the time consuming task of shelling and consuming tiny seeds without ever really filling up on them, which in itself refers to other things similar in nature. Such things like watching television, texting, chatting on the internet, without direction or meaning could construe as this. Constantly buying and lusting for frivolous little things without ever being satisfied could also be distinctly interpreted to this. It could easily as well refer to destroying “seeds”, or growth, inhibiting rebirth and true progress. The last line emphasizes the points above as toxic things, and could refer to the city as not just a random, real life city, but as the whole world, a country, or a neighborhood, depending on the listener’s own interpretation and connection to the song. |
