This song really reminds me of the girl who used to be my best friend. We met on the first day of middle school, but didn't really get close until later on in the year. The summer before seventh grade, my sister and her boyfriend died in a car accident. I had breakdowns like everyday for a while. It got really bad at school and I'd have to leave class because I'd have anxiety attacks a lot. But she was there for me, helped me through it. But then, she startted changing. She's not the girl I became friends with. "Imagine if we never lied Imagine if we never tried To be something we're not We forgot how it feels To be tight To be close To be real" That really hits home... Now she's a scene wanna-be whore and I'm, well, me. We've both changed, but I don't know what happened to her. Now, she's only around when it's convenient for her. I care about her, a lot. "And I miss you And I wish you were here I stopped breathing When you said you don't care anymore" I miss the way we used to be. I wish we could go back and not have the crap we have now. But that's life. | I really like this song. In it, it talks about the girl being physically abused by her dad, but it can be applied to any form of abuse by any person. To me, this song is pretty much saying "You don't have to just accept it, let's get out, we don't need anything as long as we have each other." But, that's just me. ^-^' | |
