Joy Division – She's Lost Control Lyrics 16 years ago
It is about epilepsy and this song is just like having a seizure with the music in the background. It's so good to hear someone describes exactly how it is, to know that you aren't alone in being changed by this disorder. I think it could apply to anyone who feels like their control over their mind or their life is slipping. Amazing sonh.

Joy Division – Day of the Lords Lyrics 16 years ago
I took it as not only an indictement of World War 2 but all wars, all the pain and horror that we humans like to inflict on each other. The references to childhood I think are about kids growing up and realising that the world isn't all sunshine and roses and how impossible it is to cope with that without joining in to the problem.

The Raconteurs – Attention Lyrics 16 years ago
I agree with what the others are saying, but has anyone else found some kind of bondage and or dominance references in this song? Like not just metaphorically. He knows he's under her spell and he hates it and likes it at the same time too.

The Strokes – Reptilia Lyrics 16 years ago
I think it's about a relationship that's gone a bit sour, but they're going through the ritual of drinking together, with others. Having a night drinking but they are so sick of the site of each other that he just wants to drown in it, pretend everything is like it used to be. It kinda reminds me of the the scene in Gone With The Wind in the end where she finds Rhett drinking in the middle of the night.

British India – God Is Dead (Meet The Kids) Lyrics 16 years ago
I guess it's kind of about finding love in this sort of apethetic post-modern society, or maybe not all society but certain parts of it. But underneath it, they're just humans and it doesn't really matter that they've lost and life seems confusing and shitty because they have each other to keep it real.
