This is my fav killers song ever. i always saw it as relating to unrequited love (of course). That it is written from the perspective of someone who is in love with a person, who may not be emotionally ready for a relationship. It could be because the person is so damaged from past situations. They are trying to show that person that they don't want the person who is in fear of a relationship to give up. They want to show that person that it is possible for them to be together. The part about the picture could relate to physical distance or emotional distance. All in all the person who is singing the song to the one whose "heart is not able", is trying to justify to the other to let go of their fear or past because they were always on their "list". |

Yes hippyatheart you are right about that one. It is about Joni Mitchell...apparently Robert Plant had an interest in Joni and they had a short term romance. I have the same song and I'm pretty sure its from their How The West Was Won live album. |

Don't quote me on this...but I'm pretty positive that the song was written about Natalie Imbruglia because Chris Martin had been dating her prior to Gwenyth when he was writing the song. And that he no longer plays this song in concert. Gwenyth has blue eyes. |
