I'm a teenager, i like the Arctic Monkeys, and i don't say they are the best, but they're good. You're being a little aggresive, don't you think? I know all the bands that you mention (big The Rakes fan) and they are better musicians tahn the Arctic Monkeys, but that's not a reason for disqualifying other people's point of view. At least they respect you.

Maybe nobody will read this, but I think this song is really about an astronaut. Think about it, Bowie rote it in the middle of the space race. I think that major Tom is an astronaut that, in space, faces the beauty of our universe from another perspective, and with this new point of view, doesn't want to come back to earth, planet earth's not the same for him, it's blue, it's a cage, and now, he's beyond the cage. Obviusly, major Tom dies, but he's running forever round his tin can. |
