I've known this song for a while now but I just heard Fire Water Burn by Bloodhound Gang today and I googled the "we don't need no water let the motherfucker burn" line because I figured there was something behind it if it was in two different songs. Anyway I found this forum where people were discussing it and the discussion really shed some light on the meaning. http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18267 |

I listened to this song in the car with my mom the other day... "People like you fuck people like me" Boy, that was a long trip... XP Great song anyway though. :) |

| The Fray – You Found Me Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I think this song is important... because it doesn't mention who it is being sung to or what it is being sung about too often. (God is mentioned in the first verse, and "Her" in the second.)So really, anyone could interpret this into their own situation. It's about missing someone, who could be God, or anyone, really, a partner, friend, or family member, and asking why they've left you. Maybe you listen to it because you suffered a harsh breakup, death, or had an absent family member for many years. Either way, it's a song anyone can relate to, and we really need more songs like this. | |
