All the interpretations are neat, though I think it's really conceited in regards to the people that insist that their interpretation is the right/only correct one/only one that makes sense. :/ To each their own, either way the song is awesome. |

| I like this version of the lyrics better, if it's really about Lord of the Flies, it lost a good bit of meaning for me. :/ | |

| It's not Lord of the Flies though, the lyric is 'Mow them down like flies'. | |

Okay not bothering to read all of the comments, but for the person bashing the movie, one it's a story, two if you took the time to watch the whole series she had training she didn't just wake up one day and say 'Imma be samurai' grab her sword and start killing people. There is an actual plot if you'd take the time to look for it. And, for once, the movie industry actually went with the original stories intent. Kill Bill is based on a Japanese manga series in which a blonde American woman learns to become an assassin and goes through a lot of venues, and the drama unfolds. As for the lyrics meanings, I think he left her, and by left her, I mean he died. Because she said she called him hers, and considering he never said contrary that he felt the same sentiment, and that he would laugh, as though reminiscing, about how they played together, perhaps because it was a defining activity that had brought them together. I think he died because he was shot somehow and the "Music played and people sang, just for me the church bells rang" signified his funeral. While I'm not sure this is accurate, I thought that back in history the church bells rang for funerals and weddings since the towns were often of a size that everyone would hear and know. And she keeps going on with the Bang Bang because it was the game that brought them together, and then the also the real bang bang of a gun that took him away. That's my take on it anyway. |
