The lyrics are not identical. The Bauhaus song's lyrics are: In a crucifiction ecstasy Lying cross chequed in agony Stigmata bleed continuously Holes in head, hands, feet, and weep for me Stigmata oh you sordid sight Stigmata in your splintered plight Look into your crimson orifice In holy remembrance In scarlet bliss In nomine patri et filii et spiriti sanctum In nomine patri et filii et spiriti sanctum In nomine patri et filii et spiriti sanctum In nomine patri et filii et spiriti sanctum Father, son, and holy ghost Stigmata Martyr Apart from the name, not one is repeated here. They may be in the same genre, but this is not a cover. |

I agree with you that it's about blindly following a leader. But you're sorely mistaken that it's about people thinking for themselves. Dr Steel loves us. We love Dr Steel. We must blindly follow Dr Steel. How else will we ever create a Utopian Playground? I love Dr Steel. Dr Steel is my best friend. I love Dr Steel. Dr Steel. Dr Steel. Doctor. Steel. |

I agree with your points as that should be how people act, but I'm afraid I just don't see in the line "Hate the jocks and preps, the hippie fuckin' scum bags" the view that it's fine to be a hippy, jock or prep if that's who you really are. No, it appears to be about how only people who think and act in exactly the same way are cool and alternative. The song is about doing whatever you want to do and dressing however you want and saying the things you feel as long as you do it in exactly the same way as the other "alternative" kids. That's what it states, I don't see how you can see it otherwise. Don't get me wrong, I like Blink, I used to listen to them a lot as a teenager and they've still got a fond place for me. And I even like this song, but mostly because it's message is so utterly self-unaware it's quite funny. |

| The Fall – Victoria Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I never quite got why they changed the lyrics so that it's no longer saying that the Victorians thought sex was bad. Seems a bit strange to me. | |

This song always amuses me: Don't hate us just because we're part of a group that thinks differently to you. "Hate the jocks and preps, the hippie fuckin' scum bags Heavy metalers with their awful pussy hair bands" Oh and by the way, we hate all groups that think differently to the way we do! It's so many alternative music fans at their core! If only this song was meant to be ironic... |

Actually it's about going to America! It describes colonists heading out to the "new world". Columbus thought he was heading to India when he sailed to the Americas. |
