Regina Spektor – Carbon Monoxide Lyrics 13 years ago
Also brilliant. Now I'm torn between a lot of interpretations.

Three Days Grace – Bully Lyrics 16 years ago
I think this is probably about suicide or a school shooting-
My approach to it is that he's saying that everyone tries to blame everyone for things like this that happen, but really it's no one's fault.. "maybe they needed to be wanted"
He says "blame it on me" sarcastically, just emphasizing how everyone needs to blame people for things like that.

Bush – Comedown Lyrics 16 years ago
Everyone usually assumes that a song like this is about drugs, and how they're comparing it to a girl or something by personifying it, but I think that this song is quite the opposite.
I think that he's singing about a person who's like a drug to him. OR how love is like a drug.
Either way, I think that drugs aren't the topic, but the mirror to the topic.

Burden Brothers – Beautiful Night Lyrics 16 years ago
I think Die_idiot_die is right for the most part (nice name by the way)
but I think my favorite part about this song is the irony in it.
He isn't being completely sarcastic in the chorus, I think.
I think he's just saying "yeah, it's a beautiful night, too bad I can't enjoy it."
So to me, the song is just expressing the dull feeling you get when nothing's going right,
but you're still somewhat optimistic. Like you have nothing to lose.

Three Days Grace – Over and Over Lyrics 16 years ago
I'm sorry to say this, but this song is about drugs, I'm like 90% sure.
He wrote most of one-x during his rehab, and I think this song has a double meaning.
It could be used to be about a person,
but I think he wrote this as his relationship with the drugs he was using.
But... I think this song is just about addiction in general.
Over and over, you fall for it, you try to pull away, but it feels hopeless.
And that's the point he's trying to make.

Breaking Benjamin – Rain Lyrics 16 years ago
My thoughts:

"Take a photograph; it'll be the last.
Not a dollar or a crowd could ever keep me here."

He wants to move on from the life he has now and start over,
even if it means leaving people who love him behind.
He's basically saying,
"remember me because I'm leaving, but no one could pay me or beg me enough to stay like I am now."

"I dont have a past, I just have a chance.
Not a family or honest plea remains to say

Rain, rain, go away,
Come again another day,
All the world is waiting for the sun."

I think in this part he's acting like a loner a bit because he says he doesn't have a past, which I'm guessing means that his past doesn't exactly reflect on him, and he'd like to forget it.
but when he says "Not a family or honest plea remains to say [chorus]" that he feels alone and like no one is looking out for him anymore. He wants someone to take away all of his pain.

"Is it you I want,
Or just the notion of a heart to wrap around,
so I can find my way around"

Well, this clears up who this song is directed to. It's to someone he thinks he loves and is probably the only reason he hasn't moved on. This person gives him a reason to want to hold on to what he has, but he's becoming convinced that he doesn't really love this person, and that he was just looking for someone to hold onto, or someone he can look to for guidance and help.

"Safe to say from here,
You're getting closer now,"

So by now he thinks that this person is "getting closer" or,
becoming more attached to him, and vice versa.. he is getting more attached also.

"We are never sad
cause we are not allowed to be"

I'm not quite sure about this line. I think it could mean that they are both faking happiness for each other so that they don't hurt eachother,
or it might be something to do with him trying to be strong for everyone else, and he feels like he's not allowed to be sad in order to make everyone happy.

"Rain, rain, go away,
Come again another day,
All the world is waiting for the sun.

Rain, rain, go away,
Come again another day,
All the world is waiting for the sun."

So now he just wants to be happy..

"To lie here under you,
is all that I could ever do,
To lie here under you is all...
To lie here under you,
is all that I could ever do,
To lie here under you is all..."

He feels like he just is totally dependent on this person, and feels as though all he "could ever do" is just be with this person, and nothing more.
