| My favorite Morrissey song. I can't stand Colin Meloy's voice anymore, though I used to love the Decemberists, but it's like he became a parody of himself. Anyway...hearing this song live from Morrissey last year, it took on a new meaning for me. It sounded to me like he was singing it was a sort of coming out of the closet. I never thought that hearing it on record, but live it just sort of took on that tone to me, especially with his over the top, over-dramatic take on it. Whatever he was trying to say, it's a beautiful song. Very sad, whether it's ironic or not. | |
