| Josh Groban – February Song Lyrics | 16 years ago |

This is a song that was really relatable to me as I was going through a rebellious period in my youth. Because of decisions I'd made, things were no longer as simple as they had been before I chose not to listen to those who loved me. As the song progresses, the person learns that 'morning is waking up'...meaning they've come to their senses 'opening their eyes,' realizing finally that what they thought they were missing was 'in front of their eyes' all along. But its not easy to go back to how it was: ('its hard to find my ground/'cause I keep on falling/ as I try to get away from this crazy world') Wonderful song (& singer)! |

| Five for Fighting – Superman (It's Not Easy) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
John Ondrasik (the artist/writer of this song) himself said this song was written from Superman's point of view, even though his name is never mentioned in the lyrics. He is portrayed as misunderstood and not as powerful as people see him, relating to ordinary people's struggles to fit in, live up to expectations and fulfill their responsibilities. He describes himself as being "only a man, in a silly red sheet"... You don't have to be Superman to relate to this song, though. Anyone who hasn't always lived up to others expectations of them should be able to relate here. |
