| O.A.R. – Shattered (Turn the Car Around) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
I am not going to lie, I have not spent much time listening to this album, after "Stories Of a Stranger" came out it took me a long time to adjust to the new sound of O.A.R.. I really don't like how they sound mainstream or radio kosher atm. A few of you have said that bands need to change their sound or else is becomes the same old shit over and over again. I agree with you, I just really hope that OAR comes to find their roots again because that was the sound that made me fall in love with them. Not to mention the hell of a live show they put on So hopefully the next album that comes out will have a little bit from their past and some new tastes for us all to sample. |

| O.A.R. – Conquering Fools Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
This is a great song, and it really picks me up and gives me hope when all seems lost. I agree with most everyones idea about the song. I feel its about conquering all the foolish, childish things of our youth and finding yourself as an adult through the test of time against all these "fools". I really like the feeling of the song and the message it sends to all those who hear it. |

| Jonny Lang – Good Morning LIttle Schoolgirl Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
There are quite a few remakes of this song, each with thier own little distinct flavor I enjoy all off them. The lyrics are quite obvious, but it seems that this song is about a school boys crush, though the school girl ends up treating him like shite, so in return he wants to inform everyone else that shes quite the snake in the grass. |

| John Butler Trio – Daniella Lyrics | 16 years ago |

jbt will always have a special place in my heart for one reason. When i went off to boot camp I had no access to any sort of music other then what the military provided, ( not much ). Anyway when I got out of boot camp I bought myself an iPod and the first cd I bought was Grand National. they helped me rediscover music it was a great thing I challenge any of you to go three months without listening to music, then put this cd on AMAZING, it will blow you away. |

| HIM – Razorblade Kiss Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
alright.......lets see if I can put my two cents in here. First off being a dude and not having any type of attractions to dudes I will say HIM used to be one of my favorite bands. I stick with the older stuff anything past Love Metal really does not sound like the HIM I enjoy. I am not trying to step on anyones toes but I just do not like thier stuff past that album. I agree that the song is about a dire love for someone that even their kiss gives you the utopic feeling of cutting your wrists ( once again never have done this before, so I am just speculating) Now as far as quiffporn is concerned, bro you are more than welcome to you opinion. I respect that, but has anyone else noticed how you spent two years of yourlife commenting on this song and wasting your life trying to piss people off with your crude comments. Seriously get over yourself, get off your ass, go out and start your own band so we all can comment on your lyrics, and leave crude comments on your page. I guess thats about 20 cents worth but it was just all my observation. |

| Dispatch – Steeples Lyrics | 16 years ago |

I also would like to agree with gregg's ideas on the song. Myself I am not religious in any way, however I am very spirtitual. I would like to say that when I listen to Spatch's music I find myself filled with a sort of uplifted respect for all people and all things on earth. Living in unity and peace. Which I feel is at the core of most of Spatch's music. Very good ideas and thoughts on this song by you all. This site is wonderful. PEACE |

| O.A.R. – Anyway Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
I feel that this song is about using the power of music to achieve a great amount of happiness in your life. I know for the most part all the members of o.a.r. came from small towns and homes, and their combined love of music allowed them all the perhaps be underestimated at first. But with the power of that love, they stuck through and have become one of the most influential bands on our/my generation. |

| Michael Franti And Spearhead – Say Hey (I Love You) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
I feel that this song is about a random chance of fate allowing you to run into the love of your life in the most random of places. Having ignored the chance encounter at face value, you left the place of meeting> Only to come to your senses after the fact and allowing yourself to return to that place you met in hopes you can get lightning to strike twice. |

| Michael Franti And Spearhead – Time To Go Home Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
I feel this is an anthem for all our soldiers overseas....and for those of us who are serving or have loved ones who are serving . The lyrics are pretty simple, but in my mind I feel that this song states: there are those who sit in the high seats of power and can write and pass any laws they want, and they could care less about the amount of sacrifice it takes anyone involved in defending those laws. the toll it takes on the families and indiviuals. Whenever i listen to this song I feel it is just a cry that any service member can shout when they are away from the ones they love. |

| Martin Sexton – Hallelujah Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
This song is really uplifting for as slow tempo as it carries. It really makes me think about how no matter how much higher we all think we are above one another, we all really are equals when it comes down to it. As high up as everyone puts Jesus, the question is posed " didn't Jesus do it too, hang out with the prostitutes and have a drink or two?" Even a man as high and mighty as the great Jesus brought himself to such an equal of man. I feel that we should all take time to spend with those whom we ourselves consider less fortunate than we are. Sit and talk with a homeless man instead of giving him the cold shoulder, even if its for 5 minutes. Try to look at the world through there eyes, for that time frame. I'm not on any type of soapbox right now, because I have been just as guilty of committing these acts of blowing off the less fortunate, and even thinking I was better than them at times. Hopefully after writing this and listening to this song it will stick in my mind and help me to change my pathetic ways. We are all blinded by what is considered good and evil these days. The world around us is moving at such a fast pace, and the colors of good, bad, evil, kind, hateful, and any other thought is getting blurred into one big streak of ugliness. While the world around us is moving at the rate it is, it is up to each individual person to take time for themselves and figure out what it is they are passionate about, what their morals are, what their morals are, and even just communicating with that inner child inside them from time to time. The world seems to slow down around them even in the most hectic of schedules when this can be done, I promise you. |

| Mike Doughty – 27 Jennifers Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
In all honesty I love Doughty, his music is essential in this day and age, though his lyrics are a confusion to descipher. I feel that whatever the literal meaning for the song is, the deeper hidden message seems to be if you find someone who catches your eye amongst the crowd of the plain sheep, you should not care how the populis feels about him/her because if you have found love then everyone else can piss off. |

| Michael Franti And Spearhead – Sometimes Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
This is the first song I ever heard by Franti, way back in my days of high school. I heard it in the end credits of the movie Mystery Men. To me this song is about that specific feeling we all have from time to time. Wheter your high, or just accomplished some hard obtained goal or any type of enlightenment. How you want to share that feeling with those all around you, spreading the joy to the poor, the rich, the tired, the weak, the hungry, simply just spreading the wealth of a feeling that not everyone can obtain. |

| Adam Ant – Beautiful Dream Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
To me, this song as plain as the lyrics say are about a beautiful dream of love making. Whether or not he is dreaming about his first time, his last time, the 1000th time, or anytime or reason. The first time I heard this song it took me to a place of bliss and lust. I feel this is a much over-looked song and simply did not make it to the mainstream venue because of the topic of the lyrics. |
